Calafate

Arrival by bus from Puerto Natales to Calafate, transfer to the hotel, 2 nights in the Hotel Los Hielos or Xelena. - / - / -

Perito Moreno Glacier

Day trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier, 90 km from Calafate.

This world famous glacier is one of the great attractions of Southern Patagonia.

The ice breaks that crash repeatedly into the lake are unforgettable impressions.

This glacier has a width of 5 km and its front is more than 60 meters high, surrounded by a forest of Lenga and Coihue (southern beech), flowers of the local firebush (silver tree) and calafate (buckthorn).

Transfer to the bus terminal, travel in the bus along the legendary Ruta 40 north to El Chaltén, transfer to the hotel, 2 nights in the Hostería El Pilar or in the Hotel Los Cerros (Chaltén). Driving distance: 220 km asphalt. F / - / -

 

 

 

 

 

 

Laguna tres low

Day 4
Trekking

Trekking on your own (very well-trodden sidewalks) to Laguna de los Tres, at the foot of Cerro Fitz Roy, the most famous mountain in the southern Patagonian Andes.

Three hours it goes through beautiful forest and mountain landscapes to the base camp Rio Blanco, again and again the Cerro Fitz Roy and its granite neighbors in sight.

Now there is a steady and steep ascent to the Laguna de los Tres upstream of the Fitz Roy, a magnificent vantage point on the impressive Fitz Roy.

Walking time: 6-7 hours with an altitude difference of 800 m.

Easy to moderate hike.

Lake Torre

or: 

Trekking on your own (very well trodden sidewalks) to Laguna Torre, at the foot of the legendary Cerro Torre, one of the most difficult mountaineering destinations in the world.

Its more than 1400 m high steep walls made of the smoothest granite make this easy to understand, whereby the climate is the main factor, which is why the climbers often have to wait months before the final rush to the summit.

There is a breathtakingly beautiful view from Laguna Torre onto a whole series of windswept granite needles and mighty glaciers.

Walking time: approx. 6 hours with an altitude difference of 400 m

Puerto Iguazu - Hotel Loi Suites - Piscina

Day 5
Iguazu

Transfer to the bus terminal, drive back to Calafate directly to the airport, flight via Buenos Aires to Iguazú.

Calafate Iguazu Buenos Aires Day 3 low

Day 6 
Argentine waterfalls

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a trip to the Argentine waterfalls today (entry to the national park not included).

On kilometers of walking paths and footbridges that meander through a beautiful tropical forest, you will experience a unique atmosphere with breathtaking views of countless waterfalls.

With a small slow train and then over the one kilometer long footbridge you will reach the upper edge of the fascinating Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat). The water plunges 82 m down here!

Finally, you can take a boat to approach the Iguazú Inferior River - a unique, boozy experience (to be paid on site, the boat leaves every 15 minutes).

Brazilian waterfalls & Buenos Aires

Today you take a half-day excursion to the Brazilian waterfalls.

Since it goes over the border into Brazil, you have to take your passport with you!

The trip goes to Foz de Iguazú in Brazil. You can marvel at the view of the "Boca del Diablo", the most impressive part of the waterfalls. 

 

 

Patagonia Iguazu Buenos Aires Tango

Afterwards transfer to the airport, flight to Buenos Aires.

Buenos Aires

In the morning 4 hour city tour through Buenos Aires, the “Paris of South America”, world capital of tango and awarded by UNESCO as “City of Design”.

In the afternoon you can marvel at the architectural diversity on your own, visit museums or one of the numerous department stores.

Patagonia Iguazu Buenos Aires Day 10

Day 9
Paraná Delta & Tango Show

A six-hour excursion to the “Tigre”, the Paraná Delta, whose countless canals and islands invite you to take a boat trip in the typical “canal buses”.

Time for lunch in a restaurant of your choice on one of the islands (to be paid on site). 

In the evening transfer from the hotel to a tango show at Esquina Carlos Gardel. FA
