Description
The Amazon ships La Esmeralda and La Turmalina promise adventure and comfort in the atmosphere of a classic ship in the style of the 19th century.
The cruise begins in Iquitos, but does not go along the Amazon, but south into the unexplored area of the Ucayali River and into the Pacaya Samiria National Park.
You can expect different species of monkeys and birds, gray and pink river dolphins and wonderful rainforest flora.
Day 1 (Sunday)
Iquitos / San Pedro
Reception at lunchtime in the airport's VIP room. Transfer on board your cruise ship. There you will get to know the crew and learn more about the geography of the Peruvian Amazon basin. Together with your guide you will listen to the jungle noises and learn to classify them. After a cozy dinner with light music, we invite you to a stargazing.

Day 2 (Monday)
San Pedro / Ucayali River / Puinahua River
Your cruise continues towards the Ucayali Estuary. You take a boat trip for bird watching and visit the "Victorias Regias", a special kind of aquatic plants.
After breakfast, observe the unique flora and fauna of the rainforest area on the banks of the Ucayali River. While visiting a small village community, you can get in touch with the locals and purchase handcrafted jewelry. F / M / A
Day 3 (Tuesday)
Puinahua River / Zapote Gorge / Pacaya River
The cruise ship is heading for the Pacaya River today. You set out early on an excursion to the Zapote Gorge to fish pirañas there. You will then receive an introduction to the Pacaya Samiria nature reserve and have the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna on the shore.
After dinner, take a trip to the rainforest at night and keep an eye out for caimans. F / M / A
Day 4 (Wednesday)
Pacaya-Samiria Nature Reserve
At dawn you set out again with the excursion boat into the nature reserve to witness the awakening of the rainforest. During the afternoon you will take a boat to the Yanaquillo Gorge. In the evening the ship reaches the private Parque Natural Amazónico, where the Posada Lodge can also be found.

Day 5 (Thursday)
Pacaya - Samiria Nature Reserve / Yanaquillo Gorge / Parque Natural Amazónico
At dawn you set out again with the excursion boat into the nature reserve to witness the awakening of the rainforest. During the afternoon you will take a boat to the Yanaquillo Gorge. In the evening the ship reaches the private Parque Natural Amazónico, where the Posada Lodge can also be found.

Day 6 (Friday)
Parque Natural Amazónico / Nauta
In the primary forest of the Parque Natural Amazónico on the banks of the Río Marañón, you can experience the rainforest from a completely different perspective from the suspension bridges (total length 800 m) installed in the crowns of the exceptionally tall oak trees. Before the ship leaves for Iquitos, you have the opportunity to go canoeing or swimming in Lake Encantado.

Iquitos
