The extraordinary bungalow complex Alandaluz is located between Ayampe and the Machalilla National Park. The journey takes place by plane (approx. 30 minutes) from / to Quito to Manta with transfer by car (approx. 1 ½ hours) to the hotel or from / to Guayaquil by car (approx. 4 hours)

The philosophy of the Alandaluz is known beyond the borders of Ecuador. With the income from the accommodation and catering of guests from all over the world, further projects, such as the mediation of alternative cultivation methods or the construction of houses from the rapidly growing raw material bamboo, are carried out with the farmers of the neighboring village of Puerto Rico.

The main building of the complex as well as the individual bungalows are architecturally fascinating constructions not only for connoisseurs. They blend in fantastically with the landscape and withstand the climatic conditions optimally. The bungalows are equipped with either a bio-hygienic latrine toilet or a conventional toilet. With the water used in the bathrooms and the kitchen, the plants are watered after a filtering process. These are measures that really deserve to be called environmentally friendly.
Visit the gardens of this eco-complex, where the fruits and vegetables are grown that are served daily in the hotel restaurant.

The natural beach right outside the front door invites you to swim and relax. The eco-facility also offers numerous activities. The Isla de Plata, which can be reached by boat in about 2 hours, is known as the "Little Galápagos". On the way there (between mid-June and late September), with luck, dolphins or even whales can be observed. Visit the Machalilla National Park with its tropical dry primeval forest or the nearby humid tropical rainforest at high altitudes.

We recommend a stay of 4-5 days.

Please keep in mind that the infrastructure on the coast of Ecuador (roads, hotels, restaurants, etc.) is quite simple.
If you are looking for a good infrastructure with high hotel comfort directly on the beach, a stopover in the Dutch Caribbean, e.g. on the island of Curaçao, is more advisable. Information on the Dutch Caribbean on request.
