Description

The charming Finch Bay Hotel is located at Punta Estrada on Santa Cruz, across the bay from Puerto Ayora. It's just a few steps from the beach and surrounded by mangroves. The hotel was named after the famous Darwin's finches, which are abundant in the area. The ecologically oriented hotel separates the garbage and has its own recycling program. Portion of charm.
Accommodation:
Bright, inviting and idyllic location, the hotel offers its guests its own access to the beach, a large pool and jacuzzi. 48 guests can be divided into a total of 21 rooms. 17 rooms are on the ground floor and 4 on the first floor. All accommodations are modern and stylish and have air conditioning, hairdryer, soap and shampoo dispensers.
Hotel equipment:
The Finch Bay Hotel has a bar, lounge and a restaurant serving international cuisine. In addition, vegetarian dishes or diet dishes can be prepared on request. Laundry service is offered and beach towels are always available to hotel guests. For those who would like to stay in touch with the outside world, there is free internet access and also a fax machine.

Sunday - Wednesday
Itinerary:
Sunday: arrival - highlands
Arrival in Galapagos, Baltra by plane. Cross the Itabaca river bed to the main island of Santa Cruz. A bus takes you through the highlands of Santa Cruz with a stop at the twin craters and a visit to a turtle hatchery. After a small lunch snack, the journey continues to your domicile for the next few days, the beautiful Finch Bay Hotel. Take a dip in the on-site pool, rent kayaks or relax in one of the hammocks. In the evening a delicious dinner awaits you in a stylish ambience.
Possible itinerary for the other days (subject to change):
After a rich breakfast in buffet form, the boat trip begins. Please do not forget to put on lotion, bring a hat, swimming gear, snorkeling equipment, camera and sturdy shoes. Lunch is served on board the excursion boat. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Monday: North Seymour
Get to know the two sides of this small island. Stroll along the bay and watch blue-footed boobies, black-tailed gulls or the unique frigate birds and then visit the other side of the island, where the waves crash against the high cliffs and sea lions frolic in the tides.
Tuesday: Island Plaza
The small islet has an immense variety of animal species and so you can admire sea lions, land iguanas, black-tailed gulls as well as Opuntia cacti and changing landscapes up close.
Wednesday: Charles Darwin Station - Transfer to Baltra
In the morning you will visit the famous Charles Darwin Station and visit the "Lonesome George" and his armored friends. Then the transfer from the hotel to the airport in Baltra takes place and it is time to say goodbye to the colorful paradise.

A small but nice hiking trail leads you through a beautiful opuntia forest with many Palo Santo trees. Land iguanas, lava lizards and sea lion colonies can be seen. Here you also have the opportunity to swim or to explore the underwater world while snorkeling.
Friday: Island Plaza
The small islet has an immense variety of animal species and so you can admire sea lions, land iguanas, black-tailed gulls as well as Opuntia cacti and changing landscapes up close.
Saturday: Bartolomé Island
Wooden steps lead through a moon-like landscape up to the viewpoint, from where the famous Pinnacle Rock serves as a wonderful photo opportunity. The red color of the rock and sand offers a great contrast to the deep blue sea where a few penguins romp around.
Sunday: Charles Darwin Station - Transfer to Baltra
In the morning you will visit the famous Charles Darwin Station and visit the "Lonesome George" and his armored friends. Then the transfer from the hotel to the airport in Baltra takes place and it is time to say goodbye to the colorful paradise.

Today you stay in Santa Cruz and can choose from a range of activities: Either you hike to Las Grietas, explore the underwater world while snorkeling, go birdwatching (at no extra cost) or go on a guided excursion on the water and drive along the bay (extra prices ). Otherwise, mountain biking or diving (at an additional cost) are on the program.
