From your base hotel in San José there is a 5-hour, private car transfer (local, English-speaking driver) to the wonderful Tortuguero National Park in the east of Costa Rica. The 3 nights are optionally in the Mawamba Lodge, Laguna Lodge (including afternoon boat tour) or in the slightly cheaper Turtle Beach Lodge (including morning boat tour)
Arrival day schedule:
- Departs San Jose approximately 6.30:XNUMX am
Arrive Guapiles for breakfast around 8:00 am - Departure to La Pavona around 09.00/09 am
- Boat to Tortuguero around 11:00 am
- Arrive in Tortuguero around 12:15 p.m

Cruise through Tortuguero National Park, home to many monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, birds, and the endangered green sea turtle, on a boat tour. See along the cloud forests and waterfalls of neighboring Braulio Carrillo National Park, and fuel the safari adventure with a typical Costa Rican lunch.
